The Buyer will plan and purchase goods, materials, and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met while adhering to company policy and signed agreements with respect to account, price, quality, and delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Purchase high volume of finished goods or components in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.

· Analyze and plan product needs to ensure that inventory levels are kept at appropriate levels.

· Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business operations.

· Manage and monitor open purchase orders to ensure on time delivery.

· Negotiate and maintain price files.

· Build relationships with vendors to ensure optimal service.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

· Working knowledge of Forecasting, MRP and Inventory planning

· Negotiation skills

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Solid critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

· Detail oriented

· Adaptable to changing business requirements

· Strong Microsoft Office/Excel Skills

· Must be a team player with a positive attitude and great work ethic whether they are working with others or working unsupervised.

Education and Experience:

· College Degree preferred

· 3-5 years’ experience in similar role preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to sit, stand, walk and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
