Full Job Description
We are looking are looking for a full and part time night auditor to join our front desk team! We are looking for 7am to 3pm shift and 3pm to 11pm shift and 11pm to 7am shift. Our guest service agents are the hotel's main representative and the first impression to each guest, therefore, our ideal candidate should take pride in their appearance, have a strong back ground in customer service, be detail oriented, have strong communication skills, be sales minded, and a strong desire to go above and beyond. Prior front desk or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
Basic job duties and responsibilities include the following:
Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
Assist guests with basic area information and make personal recommendations when appropriate
Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel
Knows and adheres to all security measures to protect guest information
Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible
Understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies & procedures
Understands room status and room status tracking
Maintain a working knowledge of room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates
Knows how to use front office equipment
Process guest check-outs
Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest or company accounts, posting paid out's, posting miscellaneous charges, etc.
Responsible for end of shift paperwork completeness and accuracy
Follows procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes used by guests
Uses proper telephone etiquette
Reads and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities
Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager
Knows and adheres to all safety and emergency procedures, is aware of accident prevention policies
Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
