Accountant
Super Bright LEDs is currently seeking an Accountant who will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department, including journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliations.
This is a full-time position located in Earth City, MO working Monday-Friday. Local candidates to the St. Louis area (Missouri and Illinois) only please.
Responsibilities:
- Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
- Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses
- Help with the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Perform month end close, and journal entries with no supervision
- Partake in annual closing processes
- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
- Manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department
- Manages cash receipts, general ledger, and month and end-year processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration
- 5 years of accounting experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Ability to manage and manipulate data and reporting on Excel and other software
- Advanced computer skills and accounting software skills
