Application Engineer

Job Description:

We are an EV systems developer and integrator of advanced electric architectures for the marine industry. We're looking for an application engineer to lead the customer facing front for the patented E1 system. This role will require the engineer to aid with the design of the vessel and the E1 system and be familiar with the integration of the product. The chosen engineer will work with customers on site with system installation and travel to customer demonstrations and shows to support the products across the country. The engineer must be familiar with in-house developed software tools to troubleshoot issues with vessels in the field and be prepared to think on their feet if solutions in the field are required. When not working with customers, the engineer can expect to be developing installation guides and manuals for end users and OEMs.

Additional Description Responsibilities:

• Offer technical knowledge of end-to-end system components Propulsion plant and vessel infotainment system as well as on how they integrate
• Create and document installation guides for customer usage at OEM, dealer, and end user level
• Troubleshoot systems in the fields
• Support customer vessels in the field
• Visit customer sites to aid with installation and commissioning on new E1 systems
• Participate in development process of product to ensure ABYC and or ISO compliance
• Perform field testing and integration with test vessels
• Work with calibration/software teams to understand operational requirements of each system and debug any software issues in the field.
• Participate in end user troubleshooting sometimes requiring travel

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Two years of relevant engineering experience
• Independent worker requiring little direction and works well in a team environment
• Excellent planner and complex problem solver
• High level of oral and written communication skills
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis
• Working knowledge of Computer programming language
• Knowledge of and passion for electrification propulsion system architectures
• Familiarity with marine systems and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with vehicle control systems doing development, testing, or calibration
• Experience/passion in boating and/or water sports
• Masters of Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Two years of post-graduation engineering experience
• Experience with tools commonly used in vehicle diagnostics
• Hands on capability
• CAD Experience (Siemens NX preferred)
