We are seeking an experienced, talented, and professional Assistant Store Director/Human Resources Coordinator at our Five Points Super Saver in Grand Island. Previous retail / grocery store Management experience Required.
This is a Dual-Role position. You will be in charge of store operations, and assisting the Store Director. Additionally, you will serve as the store's Human Resources Coordinator - Hiring, onboarding, training and developing New Employees.
Can you:
- Assume Store Director's duties in his/her absence.
- Follow directives of Store Director.
- Provide the best product and service possible.
- Maintain a friendly, professional attitude.
- Motivate, schedule, and direct subordinates.
- Monitor and evaluate associates on a regular basis.
- Control and purchase inventory.
- Enforce Company policies and procedures.
- Interview, hire and direct associates.
- Follow Company Safety Standards.
Bending, lifting, and standing required. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be able to achieve or exceed budget projections in gross profit, sales, & labor percent.
Able to:
- Increase sales and profits through proper merchandise and associate management.
- Be the model image for the store - set the attitude for both service & operations.
- Plan, organize and direct daily store activities.
- Direct Safety Program - timely filing of Workers' Compensation forms - follow-up.
- Effectively manage associates with confidence.
- Gain knowledge of all equipment and machinery.
- Ensure safe usage, proper storage & cleaning of all machinery.
- Assist with oversight and execution of HR department functions and operations
- Manage & coordinate various HR initiatives, including retention/incentive programs
- Work closely with Store Director, management staff and associates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention
- Identify and execute creative solutions to hiring challenges that arise
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including coordinating orientation schedules, and conducting orientation sessions
- Provide the best service possible by maintaining a friendly, professional attitude
- Follow directives of the Store Director
- Ability to assist the store as a Manager on Duty, when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous store management and Human Resources experience required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources (or similar field) and PHR or SHRM-CP certification also preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
