IT Technician

Position Summary:

This is an entry-level Information Technology Technician position. The ideal candidate is a college graduate highly motivated and interesting in gaining experience in the areas of helpdesk/desktop configuration, repair, and support, network administration and diagnosis, and troubleshooting a variety of IT issues.

Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Install and configure hardware and software components
• Install and upgrade antivirus software
• Troubleshoot general hardware and software issues
• Diagnose general network issues, remotely guide employees through troubleshooting process
• Repair or re-run Cat5 cabling
• Clean up and organize network cabling on location
• Maintain standards across network and computer equipment
• Maintain standards in Office 365 environment
• General Office software support (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Travel to client sites

Minimum Job Requirements:

• 6 months of technical support or internship experience
• Familiarity with network standards and general Cat5 cabling
• Expertise with a wide range of software and hardware
• Proven technical skills with a strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong professional communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to travel to different client sites on a daily basis
• Must pass background check

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Applicants currently enrolled in an IT program are eligible to apply

Physical Demands:

Travel:

Primarily local travel during the business day but may require up to 30%.
