Job Summary

Performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of warehouse loading in support of warehouse workers and responsible for day to day operations associated with the warehouse loading. Perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following SSIs policies and procedures

Essential Job Functions

• Inspects assigned jack and reach lifts for safety issues
• Enters the proper information into the productivity measure
• Identifies the correct pick location and pick sequence in accordance to the order
• Picks the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or item descriptions
• Places pick labels on the side of the cases
• Identifies and immediately reports miss-located products
• Shrink wraps and labels with correct required information
• Stages pallets in appropriate bay
• Keeps area clean and debris out of work area
• Immediately informs a supervisor or manager of any potential safety threats
• Operates pallet jack/reach lifts in a safe and efficient manner
• Reports to supervisor or lead any violation of company policy
• Builds a stable and well cubed pallet
• Parks and recharges pallet jack and reach lifts in its appropriate spot at the end of your shift
• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that pertain to your area
• Has a responsibility to support and assist in the execution of the Food Safety and Quality Systems.

  Required Education and Experience

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• One year warehouse experience preferred

Work Environment

They must be able to work in a manufacturing factory and various inside and outside locations with varying temperatures and floor surfaces. Must wear personal protective equipment as defined/required by job assignments.

Physical Demands

Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and walk as needed on the manufacturing floor and warehouse
