Job description:
Position: Registered Nurse Med/Surg Float
Location: Chamberlain, SD
Shift: Nights ( 7PM – 7:30AM)
Hours per week: 36 hr. guarantee
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel/Local
Requirements:
- 2 years of CURRENT med surg/tele experience required.
- TRAVELER MUST BE WILLING TO FLOAT TO ANY INPATIENT UNIT WITHIN THEIR SCOPE OF PRACTICE
- Travel experience preferred.
- COVID plus Boosters Required
- Small critical access facility experiences preferred.
Certification Requirements:
- BLS AHA
- ACLA AHA
State License Requirements:
- SD/Compact
Responsibilities:
- Provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound procedures and practices.
- Performs accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
- Assesses and documents patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
- Prioritizes and documents patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.
- Monitors and documents patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
- Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
