Employee will be working on heavy civil and highway construction sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent regularly sits for long periods of time at a desk in front of a computer screen.

This is a part-time nonexempt position.

Job Description

Essential Functions

- Assist with the implementation of the Project Specific HSE Plan.
- Assist with the implementation of safe work practices, work plans and job hazard analyses.
- Have a working knowledge of Superior’s HSE policies, practices, and procedures.
- Perform one HSE work site inspection per week, at a minimum.
- Assist with providing information to project personnel regarding applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with monitoring the use of personal protective equipment requirements.
- Assist with worker orientations.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of the Task Hazard Analysis Program (THA).
- Assist with the development and communication of statistical HSE information.
- Conduct project specific inspections complete with documentation.

- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or other relevant fields of study
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
