Job Title: Meat Production Manager
The primary function of the Meat Production Manager is to oversee all aspects of the Meat Department. This role involves managing production schedules , ensuring quality control, maintaining safety standards and optimizing operational efficiency. The manager will be a working manager that leads a team a production workers. This ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, result-focused attitude, problem solving skills as well as an innovative approach to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Effectively direct and supervise meat department.
- Plan, organize, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
- Oversee assignments in the Meat Room for same-day or future orders.
- Works with management to ensure adequate inventory is prepared to meet production needs and helps forecast future needs.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and labor laws, OSHA regulations and EEOC requirements ensuring that the work environment is safe and free from discrimination and harassment.
- Ensures all products meet company and regulatory standards for quality and safety.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, including daily output and inventory logs.
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding product status and any issues.
- Promote a culture of safety within the team.
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in production areas.
- Quality Control.
- Relevant certifications in food processing a plus.
- Proven managerial experience.
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
- High school diploma , required.
- Some college coursework, preferred.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work early mornings.
- Ability to work in cold refrigerated environment.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 to 10-hour periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
