Job Posting for 3D Designer at Superior International Industries Inc
The 3D Designer is responsible for designing and animating 3D models, graphics, videos, and more; the 3D Designer operates Computer Aided (CAD) and/or Solid Works computer software to design park and playground equipment including creating, updating, and modifying drawings for sales, engineering, factory production, and/or customer use. This position has no supervisory duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops film-like animations, videos, and draws storyboards.
Understands color, composition, imagery, and topography.
Creates 3-Dimensional Models and works with lighting, texture, and shades.
Manipulates and understands 3D software, i.e., 3D Max, Metal Ray/V-Ray, Rhino, SketchUp and other 3D software.
Is well versed in various compositing software including Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
Translates client and business needs into visually engaging and effective motion graphics and presentations.
Meets deadlines to align with client demand.
Communicates workflow, lighting, compositing, and visual issues through written and visual notes.
Is able to code commensurate to 3D computer graphic needs.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position works in a standard office environment containing furniture and equipment needed to conduct common business activities. These items include desks, chairs, cubicle walls, phone systems and cords, fax machines, copiers, conference room tables, computer systems and file cabinets.
Travel
Less than 10%.
Computer Skills
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Proficient with AutoCAD and 3D modeling
(500 hrs 3D Studio Max, Metal-Ray/V-Ray preferred)
Solidworks experience preferred
Adobe After Effects preferred
Other Requirements
Manufacturing work experience preferred
Experienced with displays, animations, and client presentations
