We are searching for an experienced diesel mechanic who would report directly to the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor at our Northbridge, MA garage and become responsible for performing the day-to-day preventative maintenance or vehicle repairs as directed/scheduled. Our garage is clean spacious and features vehicle lifts.
As one of our diesel mechanics, you will:
Perform preventative maintenance with minimal or no supervision
Perform routine truck repairs including brake work, hydraulics, driveline, steering, suspension, electrical and transmission with minimal or no supervision.
Perform some welding and cutting as directed.
Utilize various diagnostic equipment and software to identify error codes and identify repairs required.
The ideal Diesel Mechanic candidate will possess the following:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required
Valid Driver’s license
Minimum of 4 years related diesel truck maintenance experience (waste management, Mack dealership, etc.)
General set of adequate hand tools to perform preventative maintenance
Specific Skills:
General knowledge and understanding of diesel truck repair and preventative maintenance.
Ability to work independently and productively with some supervision and support.
Ability to use a variety hand, power or specialty tools.
Self-motivated.
Strong desire for advancement.
Manual dexterity with mental and visual attention for sustained periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs unassisted while working in difficult positions.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work within a team concept.
Intermediate computer skills to start utilizing diagnostic equipment and access to fleet maintenance software.

Safety Bonuses - $250 Quarterly with an additional opportunity to earn a maximum of $500 annually
