Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Scaffolding Journeyman in Austin, TX

• PAY: $29/ hr
• HOURS: 60 / wk ,
• SCHEDULE: varies
• SHIFT TIME: All day shift
• DURATION: 6 month to 1 yr
• START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A SCALFOLDING JOURNEYMAN :

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding on structures and building sites, so that other people can work at height and carry out their jobs safely. Scaffolders may set up scaffolding around a structure, or inside a building undergoing construction, renovation or demolition in an outdoor or indoors environment.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the specifications for scaffold construction
- Build and dismantle scaffolding structures according to safety guidelines and industry standards
- Inspect scaffolding for quality control, ensuring that it is stable, secure, and properly assembled
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute scaffold construction projects
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Scaffold Builder or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Strong understanding of construction estimating and quality control processes
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to scaffold construction
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with scaffold building

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN SCAFOLDING FOREMAN JOURNEYMAN:

• Suspend/hang from roof or celling on a swing gate
• Elevated up to 50ft high

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SCAFOLDING JOURNEYMAN:

• OSHA 10 Certification REQUIRED
• Pre-employment drug screen
• Pre-employment background screen
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Driver's License and reliable transportation
