Description:
The 3rd shift warehouse floor lead provides leadership for 3rd shift material handlers and is responsible for performing functions associated with all inventory distribution and accountability within the distribution center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate by phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Check and verify inventory, as well as audit kitted material.
- Process documentation within the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment resulting in accuracy and damage free storage conditions.
- Select orders for customer fulfillment processing.
- Operate both a stand-up and a sit-down forklift.
- Load customer orders on pallets, containers or trailers using material handling equipment.
- Operate an RF scan unit and operate within SAP.
- Understanding of Safety and OSHA guidelines promoting a damage and safe free work environment
- Delegate workloads fairly and be able to hold self and team accountable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate both stand-up and sit-down forklift and pass forklift test.
- Familiarity of lean logistics principles in the workplace preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Must be reliable, professional, and demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Work Environment:
Will work in warehouse with Material handling Equipment
