Description:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for procuring, and negotiating, accurate pricing quotes to internal and external customers while ensuring that the best interest of the client is managed and that the client's needs are met while assuring profitability for Supply Chain Solutions (SCS). This position will interact with customers directly looking for cost effective time sensitive results. This role may also be tasked with projects specific to the certain accounts which they support. Models and acts in accordance with our core values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive, review and process international import and export shipment quote requests. Asking questions or looking for alternatives when necessary.
- Request rates from agents, co-loaders, air and ocean carriers, and truckers and use these to input quotes into our internal system to generate a formal quote to client.
- Manage quote requests, NRA's and other related pricing responsibilities including bigger projects when needed.
- Be proactive in communication with clients about status of quotes and be able to freely ask questions if there is more information needed.
- Work on larger projects such as RFQ or RFP's. Analyze, compare and compile data to ensure costs are covered and SCS is competitive in pricing large projects with time sensitive deadlines.
- Update client data stored across multiple locations to ensure accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers being able to build relationships and gain trust and consistent reliability.
- Utilize discretion and independent thinking in order to succeed.
- Collaborate with team to find the best solution and maintain a high level of teamwork.
- Communicate to manager any problems or delays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or pursuit of Bachelor's Degree in related field (accounting, logistics, marketing) preferred, or equivalent work related experience.
- Four years business experience in international operations/pricing marketing, sales, customer service, finance, accounting, supply chain or operations
- Self-starting, proactive individual who is comfortable working independently and in cross-functional global teams.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk and problem solve independently.
- Must be detail oriented, deadline sensitive, and have strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a positive, can-do attitude
- International pricing/ negotiation experience
- Proficient in all MS Office products.
- Accurate typing/data entry skills.
- Timely, accurate and professional to internal and external customers.
- Ability to use feedback from internal and external sources to manipulate an accurate response is essential.
- Customer service and relationship building skills.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work through obstacles and recommend solutions to common problems and share them with the team.
- Strong data analytic skills with large data sets.
- Ability to work as part of a team and help, when necessary, under reasonable pressures.
