The LAN Technician Manager leads a team of on-site support operations staff across multiple locations. This team provides in-person support for request fulfillment, incident management and access management related process workflows. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all computer hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. As a LAN Technician Manager, you will: • Develop and maintain support processes specific to daily workflow of the team • Perform rounding of hospitals and business service lines • Manage resource allocation activities of the team across service operations, recurring operational duties and project availability • Audit processes and work with the team to address failures in the processes whether through continual process improvement or education and training • Follow the AHC Standard Management Approach in measuring and reporting on key performance indicators relative to support areas and processes • Provide scheduled briefings to senior management on performance metrics; Leverage process improvement methodologies such as DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma to improve processes and performance outcomes • Perform all required AHC administrative responsibilities for direct reports including but not limited to annual performance reviews, performance development plans, mentoring, and developing the team • Provide Service Operations response and support for all requests, incidents and access related efforts performed on site at any of the organization’s locations • Assist with the installation, configuration, upgrade, and overall provide day-to-day administration and support required for the AHC compute environment • Support the administration and configuration of end point devices to include laptops, tablets, desktops, peripherals, and clinical devices • Conducts site surveys, assesses and document current site equipment, configurations and user requirements • Ability to take a flexible work schedule and be on call after hours • Follow standard operating procedures in the implementation and transition of software and hardware deployments • Facilitate conversations across AHC employees, vendors and other support teams while implementing or upgrading devices and software • Follow change and release management processes • Work with the Project Management Office on device refresh and general device deployment activities • Participate in the creation of detailed work breakdown structures for the implementation of automated and manual provisioning configurations • Follow PMBOK and ITIL principles in the planning and design of end point device deployments • Assist with requirements data gathering and analysis as needed • Assist with the planning and design end point device workflows • Participate in reviewing vendor solutions to address end point devices requirements of the business and clinical departments • Provide expertise to identify and translate end point workflow into configuration requirements Qualifications include: • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferred • 6 years of experience supporting workstations, peripherals and general end point devices in an enterprise environment • 3 years managing and enterprise team of desktop support staff • A Certification or similar certification required • Network or similar certification required • ITILv3 Foundations is preferred • An additional industry certification in desktop, mobile, network or server technology is required, multiple certifications preferred Work Schedule: Full - Time Monday through Friday #GR8 Information Technology At Adventist HealthCare our job is to care for you.
