What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vocational Coordinator position at Supported Community Lifestyles?
Immediate opening for Vocational Coordinator in Stillwater.
Facilitates the procurement of employment contracts for individuals served in a community-based setting. Provides training and support by teaching skills and monitoring work. Supervises vocational activities at Ponca City site. Supervises the employment support specialist & VHTS’s during work time.
1. Facilitates the attainment of employment and volunteer opportunities within the community for individuals served.
2. Acquires jobs, coordinate vendor services and oversee contract operations.
3. Monitor quality of work and maintain a safe work environment.
4. Collects and reviews information documenting attendance and participation in work related activities for paid and unpaid positions.
5. Maintain files by recording progress of individuals and documenting required information.
6. Ensures appropriate training of workers is successfully implemented.
7. Vocational billing is reviewed and turned in every Monday by 11:00 a.m. to the Business Manager.
8. Meets regularly with the House Managers & Program Coordinators to assure a thirty-hour weekly goal is being met and allow for trouble shooting regarding potentially less than adequate vocational hours.
9. Attend all pertinent meetings (IP’s, transition meetings, etc.).
10. Responsible for monitoring Vocational time for Internal Quality Assurance purposes and ensures program is compliant with all relevant state and federal laws.
11. Assist in fair pay and compliance with Labor Department rules and regulations including but not limited to time studies and prevailing wage reviews.
12. Plan of Care Management in conjunction with Program Coordinator.
13. Will actively participate in contract sharing per house and assigned caseload to evenly and justifiably distribute appropriate work per individual client.
14. Responsible for giving caseload monthly report in writing on progress of clients to Program Coordinators to be turned in by the 5th day of each month.
15. Organizes maintenance department and work order system.
16. Produces reports as required and/or requested. Including but not limited to Progress Reports.
High School diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in a similar position, or Associate’s Degree in a related field and one year of experience. ETS (Employment Training Specialist) certification required.
