Job Description
I. JOB SUMMARY
- Review loan application files in accordance with banking procedures and current guidelines.
- Issue a needs list to brokers, borrowers and collect needed information
- Secure all information for loan packages
- Start every day proactively moving files along, as specified on your daily task list, ordering insurance, verifying escrow instructions, following up on title and appraisal processes
- Coordinate, obtain, and review pre-closing conditions
- Communicate urgently, professionally and proactively with escrow and title contacts
- Carefully review loan documents to be signed to catch any errors before sending the documents out
II. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 4 plus years of continuous retail Mortgage Processing experience
- Post TRID knowledge required
- Good computer skills; experience with Encompass preferred, Word, Excel
- Detail-oriented, reliable and determined to do what it takes to get the job done
- Highly organized and proactive; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good working knowledge of loan terminology preferred
- Excellent communication skills- This position will demand that you communicate well with external contacts as well as with your fellow team members.
- Well-developed problem solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies required
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, USDA, & VA underwriting guidelines
- Knowledge of SETH, TDHCA, TSAHC programs a plus
- Must be able to independently calculate all types of self-employed income
- Must be able to fund a minimum of 20-25 units per month while working towards the same units for the following month.
