Front Office Manager Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Front Office Manager (FOM) to help the General Manager in directing daily business operations. The FOM should be experienced in a supervisory role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. The FOM must be able to competently perform duties including but not limited to all aspects of operations at the hotel, day-to-day staff management, and guests. The hotel FOM should be able to perform all front desk duties in the absence of the General Manager.
The FOM should eagerly participate in educational, training opportunities, and be responsible for managing hotel targets to deliver an excellent Guest experience. The FOM must be able to motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale. A top candidate for this position must have strong leadership and organizational skills. The FOM should be firm, but also approachable.
Front Office Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee front desk functions of the hotel
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all associates
- Ensure full compliance of Hotel operation controls, policies, procedures, and service standards
- Excel at customer service
- Handle complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures
- Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
- Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management
- Cooperating with the General Manager and assisting with anything from project planning to staff management
- Nurturing positive working relationships with staff
- Addressing any issues in a timely fashion
- Setting a good example for staff and able to cover shifts
Front Office Manager Requirements:
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good observation skills.
- An ability to deliver constructive criticism.
- Computer literate and basic Math skills.
- An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
- Weekday & Weekend availability
- RoomMaster or similar hotel property management system experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
