We are seeking a driven individual with product and vendor management experience to fill the role of Senior Systems Management Analyst to tactically rationalize business applications across the enterprise, improve the engagement between customers and suppliers, manage strategic partnerships, and ensure the success of preferred applications (commercial and homegrown) for SCA. Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Executing on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Application Portfolio Management team.
- Facilitating the customer and market success throughout all stages of the product life cycle. (Development, Introduction, Growth, Maturity, and Decline) for all homegrown applications.
- Providing vendor management oversight for strategic commercial applications, including but not limited to negotiating contracts; monitoring key performance indicators and compliance; roadmap reviews and building strong, collaborative partnerships.
- Contributing to an application rationalization framework that determines product value to the business relative to cost, functionality, security and compliance; eliminating applications with redundant or unused functionality; standardizing on common application platforms or technology; and creates overall synergy with the application ecosystem.
- Creating and maintaining processes, procedures, and documentation necessary to operate efficiently for strategic business applications in an ever-changing environment.
- Adapting business or departmental plans and priorities to address operational challenges, gaps, or opportunities.
- Developing professional and technical knowledge through educational courses, books, conferences, personal networks, and adopting industry best practices.
- Evaluating software applications, keeping in mind application rationalization, current business processes, and future system needs for growth, while also determining process improvement opportunities.
- Mentors and supports teammates on the application portfolio team as an influential leader.
- Executing the responsibilities of Portfolio Management governed by the delegation of authority (DOA) as directed by our parent company Optum/UHG and approved by SCA.
- Other job-related duties as necessary directed by leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of application management, vendor management or other technology relevant experience.
- General application architectures and Information Technology operations understanding.
- Experience with applications within a healthcare environment, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, facilitation skills and the ability to negotiate and influence effective outcomes and drive results.
- Ability to organize and to provide application consultative recommendations within a Portfolio.
- Comfortable with being empowered to lead the development and execution of Application Portfolio strategy and processes.
- Capable of presenting and communicating to all levels of the organization. Additionally, explaining technical items for non-technical customers’ comprehension.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Teams.
- Proactive, decisive, and results-oriented individual.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time, as necessary.
