Job Summary: The Operations Assistant will support the Owner in the day-to-day activities of the catering company. This role involves coordinating various operational tasks, ensuring smooth logistics, managing inventory, assisting with event planning, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of catering events.
- Coordinate logistics, including delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup.
- Communicate with clients to confirm event details and requirements.
- Ensure all events are executed flawlessly and on time.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Place orders with suppliers and manage deliveries.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Staff Support:
- Assist in scheduling and managing staff shifts.
- Coordinate staff training sessions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the hiring and onboarding process of new employees.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all food and services meet company standards.
- Implement quality control procedures and address any issues promptly.
- Gather feedback from clients and staff to improve services.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain organized records of events, clients, and inventory.
- Assist with invoicing, billing, and financial record-keeping.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications as needed.
- Logistics and Transportation:
- Coordinate transportation of food and equipment to event locations.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and operational.
- Assist with loading and unloading as required.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in catering, event planning, or hospitality is preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
