We are hiring a Captain for Sushi by Bou- Astoria, NY!

Compensation: $1000- $1300 per week

  • Paid weekly
  • Paid sick time

Responsibilities

  • You will oversee 2 locations, Disco Sushi and Sushi by Bou which is located in one venue
  • A complete understanding of our food and cocktail menu
  • Check daily prep, order inventory
  • Help employees with any paycheck questions
  • Tech savvy (order inventory, excel, toast, resy etc.)
  • Ability to jump in when team members need help
  • Problem solver
  • Life of the party personality, making sure our customers are having a great time and anticipate their needs.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and drinks
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

Qualifications or Requirements

  • Must be a team player
  • Self motivated and performance based
  • Minimum of 2 years as a bartender/ captain role
  • Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Craft cocktail experience, required
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Love working in a fast paced environment
  • Be outgoing and social with customers
