Job description
This position is responsible for record-keeping, documentation, and communication as required by the York County Area Agency on Aging and Susquehanna Senior Center.
This position manages clerical tasks, communications, record keeping, programming, and computer data entry and reporting; able to support center management; daily schedule and planning; assist with articles, research, and other responsibilities as assigned.
The position requires flexibility and provides backup and support for the Food Program. The position requires good judgment and the ability to carry through independently with daily tasks and manage calendars. The position requires attention to detail, calculation of data, and accounting. Food safety training is provided within 30 days of hire. Required before hiring, background check, valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Title: Office Support
Supervised by: The Executive Director
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Hours: 8:00 am to 1:00 or 2:00 pm or as determined, Monday through Friday and as needed for evening and weekend programs, and trips.
Salary Rate:
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide administrative support.
2. Coordinate member activities, schedule events, and ensure adequate arrangements are made to accommodate members.
3. Ensure member login and that databases are updated with accurate information.
4. Support Food Program.
5. Manage and update the One-Call database and forward messages.
6. Recruit participants and volunteers, and promote center activities within and outside of center walls
7. Conduct suveys
8. Support the center's mission.
9. Research for ideas for activities, fundraisers and grants; and increase partners.
10. Maintain member intake information and relay this information to the YCAAA and Rabbit Transit per contract.
11. Complete newsletter and monthly calendar of events and proofread prior to publishing.
12. General Housecleaning.
13. Administrative Assistant assists as needed in all areas, under the direction of the Executive Director.
14. Contribute monthly to the newsletter, editing, printing, and distribution.
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. Management, clerical, computer, and use social media platforms required.
2. Ability to organize records for reporting.
3. Patient and respectful of the unique needs of the Aging Population.
4. Ability to work effectively with staff, members, volunteers, partners, and the public.
5. Must pass PA criminal background check
6. CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain during the first 3 months of employment. Food safety training will be provided and successful completion required within the first 30-days of hire.
7. Acquire 12 hours of approved training per year, as required by the YCAAA
8. Hold current driver’s license, have reliable transportation; must be willing to transport members to carpooling activities, and support our Home Delivered Meals program.
ABILITIES
1. Ability to follow through with direction and manage clerical tasks.
2. Able to collaborate, organize, and assist in organizational planning.
3. Direct center programming and ensure required implementation and reporting.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
5. Ability to lift 35 pounds
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Clerical experience.
3. Ability to us a computer, computer programs, and calendar.
4. Ability to decipher, maintain, and updated manuals, rosters, postings, and support materials. Be professional, observant, and organized.
