Provides patient care within regulatory requirements, and performs a broad range of non-patient related tasks to support the department and staff. May be responsible for cleaning and setting up the patient treatment area, moving patients, and performing clerical duties. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
REHABILITATION SERVICES:
• Performs patient care procedures under direct supervision within regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Performs patient care support activities including but not limited to operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment used in treatment per regulatory and organizational standards.
• Maintains a clean and organized assigned work environment per department and organizational standards.
CLERICAL:
• Performs general clerical tasks, such as answering phones; updating patient appointments; and retrieving, entering, revising patient Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Prepares and completes accurate documentation related to patient, including all therapy performed in medical and departmental records as required.
• Inventories and orders accessories and supplies periodically to maintain established stock levels.
SAFETY:
• Maintains a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each procedure.
• Inspects and uses equipment per manufacturers’ guidelines recording data and reporting malfunctions per policy.
COMPLIANCE:
• Maintains strictest confidence of all patient Protected Health Information (PHI) and protects all PHI from accidental, intentional, or inappropriate disclosure.
• Performs quality therapy procedures compliance with department standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state and federal regulatory agencies to deliver the highest level of patient privacy and care.
• Prepares, administers, and documents treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Completes mandated continuing education requirements to meet facility and regulatory agencies accreditation requirements.
EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
Professional communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/ collaboration, customer service and community relations.
Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.

Pay Range is $25.47 to $31.83 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
