Coordinates the activities of the Medical Staff organization to meet the requirements of the Medical Staff, Administration, Board of Trustees and outside regulatory agencies.Job Description:
EDUCATION
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- Other: Business courses
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
- CPCS-Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
- Prior Medical Staff Services experience preferred.
- Prior secretarial and/or office experience within a hospital setting is required.
- Medical Staff Credentialing experience required.
- Prior experience attending meetings, taking and transcribing minutes is required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to type 60 wpm, operate dictation equipment, word processing equipment and computers is required.
- Ability to spell, punctuate and file accurately.
- Demonstrated minute taking skills.
- Demonstrated abilities to professionally handle public contact, highly confidential and sensitive information and maintain effective work flow systems.
- An understanding of medical terminology is required.
- Previous experience with computers, word processors, and audio-visual equipment is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written are necessary.
- Ability to function independently and work in a self-directed manner.
Pay Range $34.34 - $43.13 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
