Job Purpose

Assume ultimate accountability for the success and profitability of SwapLoader production based on assigned key performance indicators including but not limited to on time build and ship dates, shipment accuracy, manufacturing warranty, product quality, consistency, value added feature implementation, overhead, and cost of manufacturing. Directs daily operations, plans, and executes long term objectives for production and the order fulfillment operations for SwapLoader.

Job Responsibilities

  • Optimize and maintain production scheduling and workflow at appropriate levels to support and grow the business. Use a data driven approach to define, measure, analyze, implement, and control production outputs. Utilize lean methodology to improve and maintain assigned production performance indicators. Identify and implement best industry practices.
  • Partner with engineering, and quality personnel as project lead on production improvements and corporate objectives in multiple areas such as new product implementation, cost reduction, and quality.
  • Work directly with Purchasing and vendors to maintain appropriate inventory levels and seek out new opportunities to improve purchased item quality, delivery time, and cost.
  • Maintains appropriate human and capital resources to support sales and rapid growth of the company. Drafts and proposes additional capital expenditures and human resources to the executive team.
  • Leads and directs personnel functions such as hiring, developing, and training of new and existing personnel. Perform performance reviews and salary administration for all employees. Responsible for turnover and attrition objectives.
  • Provides coaching and training to supervisors to ensure appropriate company policies and strategic goals are met. Evaluates work environment to ensure health and safety issues are addressed. Reviews incidents with Safety department.
  • Partner with sales and engineering to foster a company mindset and identity of continuously improving in all areas to create more value for our distributors and customers. Consistent companywide communication regarding production performance and corporate objectives is required.
  • Maintain positive companywide relations including motivating and recognizing personnel to produce at required levels to meet sales.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • College mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering degree.
  • Master of Business (MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing environments with a continuous improvement background.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing methodology required.
  • Exposure to truck equipment or heavy equipment industry is desired.
  • Hands-on person with experience in purchasing, logistics, quality control, and project management.
  • Working knowledge of employment and health & safety regulations required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, organizational, and training/coaching skills are required.
  • Must work effectively under pressure, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Limited travel required.


Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
