Job Description: Sweetwater Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication with CEO and Office Manager on project status
- Managing field projects and estimating
- Client communication
- Job site coordination and communication
- Meeting with inspectors
- Material ordering
- Managing cost analysis and bidding
- Project Planning and Development:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor the progress of the project team.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Resolve issues that arise during construction, such as delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
- Facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to discuss progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.
Quality Control and Site Management:
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
- Oversee the resolution of any construction defects or deficiencies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete and properly archived upon project completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
