Job Description:

As a Credit Underwriting Specialist at PayPal, you will:

• Interpret and analyze financial statements and business tax returns
• Review merchant processing and business banking statements
• Verify the accuracy of information submitted for underwriting
• Interview small business owners, landlords / trade references, and review site inspections
• Analyze credit bureau information (consumer and business)
• Identify and research any inconsistencies with the application, to identify potential fraud

Qualifications for success:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major
• Superior decision making and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work within a team setting with all levels of the organization
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
• Superior customer service skills
• Willingness and ability to discuss potentially difficult financial issues with business owners
• Willingness to work flexible hours and additional hours as required
• Proficient PC user, including experience with Microsoft Office suite
