What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Swirl Coffee?
We are seeking a freelance/Contracted barista to join our catering team for parties and events. The ideal candidate should have experience in making coffee and espresso drinks, as well as a passion for providing excellent customer service. This is a freelance position, and the barista will be required to work on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the coffee bar at events and parties.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning the coffee machine and equipment.
- Communicate with the catering team and event staff to ensure that the coffee bar runs smoothly.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a barista in a coffee shop or cafe.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of coffee and espresso drinks and ability to prepare them to high standards.
- Ability to operate a commercial espresso machine and other coffee-making equipment.
- Flexible schedule and availability to work on weekends and evenings.
- Reliable transportation to and from event locations.
