What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Floater (Mailroom, Front desk) position at Swiss Post Solutions?

We are currently looking for a professional, polished, individual to be available for a Field Support Specialist/Office Floater position. The role ranges from Mail, Reception, Hospitality, Facilities and Copy Services. The person will be based out of a specific client “home office” and will be sent to different client sites at short notice. The Floater will be expected to be available to fill in for individuals who have called out sick or are on vacation. This is an ideal opportunity for those individuals looking to gain corporate office experience.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a flexible schedule and would be available at a moment’s notice, Monday through Friday, 1st or 2nd shift. There is no set schedule for this position. If you do not have a flexible schedule, please refrain from applying.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Floater position to work at Philadelphia, PA. and Monmouth Junction, NJ. Reliable method of transportation a necessary as they will cover 2 site locations on a revolving schedule.
  • Operating mail and copy equipment.
  • Sorting, delivering and processing mail.
  • Prepare mail for intra-office distribution.
  • Provide messenger/delivery services as requested.
  • Process outgoing mail using mail meter or applicable US Post Office procedure.
  • Process outgoing mail using FedEx or UPS as requested.
  • Answering calls/ greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Processing emails.
  • Setting up/ breaking down conference rooms for events.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Mailroom operations, Reception or Concierge, Hospitality, or Facilities operations preferred
  • Knowledge of USPS, UPS and FedEx procedures
  • Knowledge of mail meter operations
  • General computer knowledge

Physical Demands:

  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.)
  • Ability to lift or move 50 lbs. or greater frequently

Travel: Daily travel between client sites in assigned region.
