Mobile Vaccination Nurse (LPN) – PRN
Job Overview: The Mobile Vaccination Nurse (PRN) plays a pivotal role in our organization's commitment to public health by delivering essential vaccination services in diverse community settings on an as-needed basis. The nurse will be responsible for administering vaccines, providing health education, and fostering a positive healthcare experience for individuals, focusing on reaching underserved populations throughout the Regional area. This position is on an as-needed basis, with hours varying based on demand.
Responsibilities: ·
- Administer a variety of vaccines in adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- · Ensure proper storage of vaccines.
- · Engage with patients professionally and empathetically, addressing concerns and providing educational resources about the importance of vaccination.
- · Cultivate an environment that values cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
- · Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff and healthcare professionals, to ensure the seamless operation of the mobile vaccine clinic.
Qualifications:
- · Current and valid nursing license in the state of Louisiana.
- · Proven experience in vaccine administration, preferably in community or public health settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- · Knowledge of vaccine storage and handling protocols, maintaining the integrity and efficacy of vaccines.
- · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mobile environment.
- · Cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse communities.
- · Commitment to the principles of public health and preventive care. Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- · Work time will be exclusively community-based.
- · Frequent travel to and from pre-designated vaccination clinics.
- · Reliable transportation to and from vaccination clinic sites.
The position is contractual at a listed hourly rate of $35. ·
The schedule is subject to the applicant’s availability.
