We are hiring a Lead Machine Operator (Naltex – D Shift) to support our operations team in Middletown, DE.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Lead Machine Operator is responsible for successful operation of extrusion production equipment within the Naltex Department and ensures production and quality specifications are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Follows all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
- Train new operators (orange hats) in all areas of the department; including all production operations, quality specifications and safety requirements.
- Set direction for shift team to ensure all tasks are completed as directed by supervisor.
- Ensure area/department housekeeping is completed during shift through pass down.
- Startup and shutdown line according to procedure.
- Set up styles, including necessary adjustments, by use of set-up sheets/guidelines; pull samples from across web and use to determine sample test results.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain input reports, production reports.
- Check quality at start of shift and ensure quality of all products throughout shift through pass down.
- Cross train on other machines and in other areas of plant.
- Adhere to and set an example for all plant safety, quality and attendance policies.
Education/Certifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Leadership qualities: ability to train others and hold individuals accountable
