Description
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Sanitizer performs the cleaning in equipment and instruments in accordance with established guidelines and specifications. The main goal of the Sanitizer is to ensure equipment and instruments are operational and ready on time for production runs or to prepare the batches.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Washes and sanitizes equipment parts and instruments (containers, tools, spoons, etc.)
- Maintains equipment and instruments properly clean and stored.
- Prepares cleaning and sanitizer solutions following procedures.
- Completes reports related with cleaning.
- Manages chemicals used in the cleaning room.
- Manages the organization of the cleaning room.
- Escalates maintenance issues to the Maintenance or Compounding Lead.
- Follows all safety requirements.
- Other associated task as instructed by the leader.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to read and follow written instructions in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with the aid of a calculator.
- Flexibility to work overtime.
Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Be able to push or pull heavy objects up to 250 pounds.
- Be able to work 8 - 12 hour shifts.
- Perform repetitive tasks.
- Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk.
- Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance; sometimes in awkward or tight spaces.
- Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
PPE Requirements:
- Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe).
- Safety Glasses.
- Protective Gloves; when performing certain tasks.
- Hearing Protection; when required.
- Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks.
Work Environment:
- Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot
- Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, odors and humidity.
- May include mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive and radiation hazards
