I'm working with a scientific publisher and data analytics company that provides tools and services to support researchers, looking to add a Scientific Editor to their Cell Chemical Biology editorial team!
Location: Cambridge, MA - hybrid
Contract Duration: 3 months
About this role:
- Join the editorial team of Cell Chemical Biology, handling a broad spectrum of life science research articles and stay connected to a broad range of scientific topics
- Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and editorial team to manage content and to shape and develop the journal
- Editorially evaluate and make decisions on research papers submitted to Cell Chemical Biology, and overseeing the peer review process
- Recruiting exciting research studies, reviews, and other front matter
Experience:
- PhD in any area of cell biology or in a relevant discipline with experience in publishing original scientific research
- Understand the diverse science covered by Cell Chemical Biology, and you will need to appreciate the issues and questions that drive different fields
- Possess critical thinking skills and the willingness to learn and absorb new areas of scientific research
- Possess the ability to work successfully both solely and in a diverse global team
- Strong time management and organizational skills
