About the Role:
Our Billing Support Team is on the search for a superstar Billing Support Representative! We are looking for someone to provide personalized service to every incoming call and turn a frustrated policyholder into one happy camper. Also we need your billing expertise, you resolve every inquiry that comes your way, always bringing your A-game to the table. If you find yourself multitasking several billing inquires at once and always happy to answer the phones, then this is the position for you!
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
- Responsible for answering a high volume of policyholder billing inquiries in an efficient, accurate and professional manner via phone or email.
- Process payments, refunds and cancellation offsets easily.
- Evaluate and analyze reporting data to discover and resolve outstanding debits, credits or other inconsistencies with policy holders accounts.
- Navigate multiple systems to research, analyze and resolve policyholder inquiries.
- Reconcile our billing system data to ensure the accuracy of final invoice balances.
- Keep our customer support team updated on a regular basis when transactions are processed.
- Maintain and update customer information in our database during and after each customer inquiry.
The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)
- You genuinely enjoy problem solving and assisting customers no matter what the situation is.
- You’re intuitive and you understand what a policyholder may need before they even ask for it!
- If your normal workflow is going back and forth between 6 programs across 2 Monitors, then this is your calling.
- You're known to be patient and a great listener, it’s like you were born to handle incoming phone calls.
- Even if you're having a crazy day at work you stay organized and possess impeccable attention to detail.
Some Requirements:
- 3 years working in the insurance industry as a billing support representative or as an accountant.
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new internal insurance related programs, systems or applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
- Previous experience using Zendesk is a plus.
