Job Purpose:
Provides technical support for computer hardware and software and ensures the operational capability of casino's audio-visual and event center systems
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports audio and video requests for casino and golf resort meeting areas by coordinating and operating video, portable audio, music matrix and paging systems, installing and operating appropriate equipment for various locations, on-site promotions, events, and performances, and conducting regular maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. -30%
Provides technical support for computer hardware and software by answering incoming help desk phone calls, providing personal service to computer users, installing PC hardware and software, configuring PC workstations and troubleshooting system failures. - 15%
Maintains efficiency of digital signage by creating sign layouts from integrated content sources and in-house creative artwork for screen display, enhancing messages displayed both front-of-house and in the Team Dining Room (TDR), ensuring that the correct hardware and software communicate effectively, testing audio visual playback for content and quality prior to going live, and troubleshooting diagnostics to isolate and correct problems. - 15%
Manages the Casino-Wide music system by controlling sound levels and variances on the casino floor, communicating with the Call Center for necessary amendments, and collaborating with Department Managers and Directors to ensure clarity of sound through the audio systems throughout the casino. - 15%
Maintains and organizes lighting, video and audio/visual equipment by receiving, counting and labeling lamps, bulbs, fixtures, wiring, monitors, video tapes, microphones, and audio compact discs, audio/visual equipment and storing inventory in designated areas. -15%
Assists IT Operations Manager by completing special projects as assigned. - 10%
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
5 years of theatrical, radio, TV or conference event audio and visual experience
3 years of experience in theatrical and concert lighting
Desirable:
Bachelor's Degree in Audio or Video Production or equivalent experience
Casino theatre, conference, event or entertainment experience
Audio and lighting schematic interpreting
Data network implementation and support experience
QSC and Crestron experience
IT experience in a casino or gaming environment
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Proficiency in audio and video cabling deployment, troubleshooting, and repair
Advanced working knowledge of digital media distribution system
Working knowledge of sound, monitor and recording equipment
Working knowledge of digital signage systems and content management
Working knowledge of wireless video systems
Working knowledge of theatre lighting
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to effectively communicate problems, resolutions, and instructions to non-IT personnel
Ability to mix concert monitors and front-of-house audio
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with team members, touring acts and crews
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to operate theatre projectors
Ability to operate patch bay channel distribution
Ability to operate channel splitter for monitor and house sound system
Ability to design stage plot charts and input list
Ability to read and follow schematic diagrams/flow charts
Ability to hear a full range of audio levels
Ability to see up to 30 feet
Ability to do repetitive manual tasks
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
Ability to appear for work on time
Ability to work any shift (24/7)
Ability to work shifts in excess of 12 hours at a time
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignments
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
Ability to accept constructive criticism
Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity
Ability to work in a smoking environment
