Main Banker-Cage Operations

Main Bankers Job Purpose: Provides imprest banks, chips, and kiosk funds for Cash Operations Main Bankers Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) Provides imprest banks, chips, and kiosk funds for Cash Operations by replenishing imprest banks, preparing bank deposits for approval, verifying count room transactions, processing armored transport funds, preparing on demand checks for approval, and sending vault paperwork to appropriate departments according to established procedures and in compliance with Title 31. - 40% Provides accounting of Cash Cage transactions during a shift by completing internal cage exchanges, conducting code 9 transactions, processing table games fills and credits, performing vault cashier duties as needed, balancing main bank inventories, ensuring proper rotation of currency and chips, and completing main bank reconciliation reports. - 30% Responds to requests for kiosk assistance by providing kiosk currency and coin fills, and troubleshooting and resolving kiosk errors. - 15% Performs Cage Cashier duties as needed by greeting external guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing change or redeeming slot machine tickets in the denominations requested by the guest, furnishing guests with game and promotional information, instruction and assistance, performing cash, chip, coin, voucher, and check transactions, scanning and redeeming slot tickets, and balancing window inventory, and preparing slot machine ticket redemption and balancing reports. - 15% Main Bankers Job Specifications: Education and Experience: Essential: High School Diploma or G.E.D. 1 year of casino cage cashier experience 2 years of high volume cash handling experience Guest service experience Desirable: Vault experience Audit experience Main Bankers Skills and Knowledge: Essential: Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests Ability to communicate effectively in the English language Ability to provide guidance to entry level cashier Ability to maintain professionalism and composure Ability to complete forms and documents Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions Ability to accept constructive criticism Ability to count cash and make change in a fast-paced environment Ability to recognize counterfeit monies and chips Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations Ability to walk and stand for up to eight hours at a time Ability to work in a smoking environment Detail oriented Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel 10-key by touch Ability to appear for work on time Desirable: Bilingual or Multilingual Knowledge of casino games Supervisory/Managerial Accountability: Direct:      None Indirect:  None
