Job Description: Armed Officer with SLED Certification

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Armed Officer with SLED Certification to join our team immediately. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of prior experience in security-related roles and should have consistently worked for one security company for more than two years. We value reliability and consistency, thus applications with large employment gaps will not be considered.

Key Requirements:

1. SLED Certification: A valid South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Certification is mandatory for this position.

2. Experience: Prior experience in armed security roles is essential to succeed in this role.

3. Firearms: The candidate must possess their own firearm and should be proficient in its use.

4. Former Veterans and Law Enforcement: Preference will be given to candidates with a background in military or law enforcement service.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the safety and security of clients' premises, personnel, and assets through vigilant patrolling and monitoring.

- Enforce security procedures, respond to emergencies, and de-escalate potentially dangerous situations.

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other security personnel to maintain a secure environment.

- Carry out regular inspections to identify security vulnerabilities and propose necessary improvements.

- Generate detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Provide armed security services to ensure the safety and protection of personnel, property, and assets
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect any unauthorized activities
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when required
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or suspicious activities as directed
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property

Skills:
- Must possess a valid armed security officer license/certification
- Proficient in the use of firearms and other security equipment
- Excellent observation skills with the ability to quickly assess situations
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
