We are currently looking for an experienced writing tutor at our Torrance location.As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are: Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepares for each instructional session; Gathers and prepares materials as appropriate
Supervise, interact with, and motivate students
Reward students for completed assignments
Evaluate and document student progress
Communicate student needs to the center director
Inspire and develop a rapport with students
Establish a fun learning environment
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan
REQUIREMENTS
Four year degree or equivalent required
Minimum of one year teaching or tutoring writing required
- Availble to work in the afternoon/evening hours and/or Saturday mornings
Compensation: $17-$19/hour
