The primary role of the Teaching Assistant is to help Sylvan teachers during the instructional hour, as well as perform light administrative duties.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for our Culver City center. This is an ideal job for a recent high school graduate or a college student. Candidates must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Since we work with students kindergarten-12th grade you must be comfortable around kids, and have the ability to interact professionally with students at any level. Candidates with proven computer and customer service skills are encouraged to apply.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for supporting teachers and students during instruction time. Duties include gathering educational materials and supplies for each instructional hour so teachers and students have what they need to work without interruption. Some phone and office work will also be required. This is a part time position. Shifts typically start after 3:00 PM Monday - Friday, with hours on Saturday and/or Sunday as well.
