Center Director

Sylvan is looking for a Center Director for one of our National Learning Centers. As a Center Director, you should be a highly motivated and driven individual with client-focused and sales experience.
As a successful Center Director your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing student enrollments.
- Executing best marketing practices to increase buzz and awareness of Sylvan Learning in your region.
- Delivering platinum level service to ensure parents and students not only keep coming back, but also find themselves talking about Sylvan to strangers while waiting for their iced mocha.
- Managing your Center’s performance, including revenue, expenses, and collections.
- Observes and coaches instructional staff on a regular basis to ensure that teachers follow Sylvan’s Instructional Management guidelines and deliver instructional sessions that are balanced and robust.
- Manages and delivers all conference activities such as preparing conference materials and meeting with parents to keep families enrolled in Sylvan
- Developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations.
- Recruiting, training, and managing Center employees.
- Ability to teach when required.
Educations, skills, and experience requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree, in Education
- Teaching certification, either current or expired
- Two to three years of sales or marketing experience with a strong focus on customer service
- The ability to influence and build relationships
- The know-how to manage a business and communicate effectively through writing
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evening hours, and some Saturdays
