What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Associate position at Symbio Robotics?
Overview
At Symbio Robotics, we work in an airy open office & warehouse space that includes people, robots, cars and IRL mock-ups of automotive manufacturing lines. We're looking for an Operations Associate to keep our space running smoothly and our team and visitors connected and happy.
Symbio Robotics makes software that allows robots to perform to the limits of their abilities and our amazing team of engineers, marketing, operations, and product people work together from our warehouse in Emeryville. Although at the present time many on the team work part time onsite and part time remote, this is a fully onsite role.

Responsibilities
Receptionist & Greeter for our 2 buildings. We use an intercom system for some things, but we need someone who can move between our side-by-side buildings with ease.
- Door & sign-in
- Greet & room set-up - know who is scheduled to be onsite, greet them warmly, connect them with the person they are visiting.
- Water / Coffee
- Keep the reception area clean, flowing, functioning
- Resource for all teams for any onsite visitors or event.
Shipping & receiving
- Sort mail/packages for both buildings
- Help employees create shipping labels and schedule pickups. We ship large and small items, including big robot arms across the country.
Kitchen/Bathroom/Meeting room Inventory, restocking, ordering
- Team Lunch Catering: order, setup, cleanup
- Includes special event catering (team events, training, etc)
- Update recurring consumables orders
- Consumables purchasing and stocking:
- Grocery shopping
- Make shopping lists for purchases on company card
- Restock TP, paper towels, other bathroom supplies
Tidy Up
- Load and unload dishwashers in 2 kitchens
- Clean countertops
- Ensure coffee area is stocked
- Change water filter and CO2 tank
- Go through the refrigerators (2 kitchens) every week, wipe shelves, throw out old food
Facility
- Review security camera footage & take screenshots/logs on request
- SeeClickFix illegal dumping on property
- Break down boxes & consolidate trash cage items
- Plants: keep them healthy and alive, buy more and repot as necessary
- Monitor parking lot
- Be available as needed to manage the cleaning team, who contract with Symbio. Their primary contact is our Facilities Manager, but from time to time, we may ask you to engage with them.
- Sweep the parking lot if there is broken glass, etc. and report major issues as directed

The role will be based at Symbio Headquarters in Emeryville, California.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Full time, permanent, non-exempt role.
- Hours are 10am-6pm Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, paid in accordance with overtime laws.

- Compensation $30-$35/hour
