Welcome to Symbio, MICHELIN & FAURECIA Joint-venture working for a cleaner mobility.

Our company create hydrogen systems which are incorporated on different types of vehicles (car, trucks, boats…). We are now expending our activities to the US, in San Diego.

Since 2019 and the creation of the joint-venture, we went from a 40 employees company to almost 400 now in France and China.

 

We are now building up our team in the US, looking for top class engineers and managers in fuel cell electric vehicle architecture with defined goals to develop:

  • Commercial partnership
  • Technological association
  • Potential production plans

 

Summary of Duties:

  1. Set-up a controlling environment based on the existing French framework: internal procedures and rules, information system (ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning), implement a financial reporting process documentation and assist in identifying Financial Reporting process improvements and recommend actions to the Corporate Financial team
  2. Budget and Forecast: Facilitate annual operating budget and forecast, create and modify financial forecasting models
  3. Analysis of the commercial proposals and CAPEX: Return On Investment (ROI) analysis, monitoring vs. Budget
  4. Maintaining Daily Ledger and Cost accounting activities prepares, records, analyzes and reports on material, labor, or other operating expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, and other cost-related performance measures.
  5. Review monthly reports toidentify trends, variances and track performance by comparing actual results to forecasts, definition and follow-up of action plans in case of deviation
  6. Reporting for subsidies: search financing opportunities, build investment folders, track eligible costs and manage operational reporting to funders
  7. Reporting activities for decision-making:
  8. Reconcile ERP (once implemented) transactions to financial reporting to ensure consistency and reliability
  9. Support the Corporate Financial team, by collecting, preparing, reviewing and publishing various monthly financial reports (income statements, forecasts, headcount, KPI, etc.) according to published schedules. Prepares and develops ad-hoc management reports for decision-making.
  10. Responsible for preparing monthly financial reviews presentation with Corporate team
  11. Work on special projects to help drive improvement in business performance and development of various ad hoc financial analysis, as needed
  12. Perform all other duties as assigned and support the General Manager of Symbio US on administrative tasks such as ADP management, daily operating expenses ledging

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

 

Experience6  years of experience in financial or managerial Accounting required; preferably in an audit firm (Big 4) and then in a manufacturing environment. Experience in managing government-funded program is a plus.

 

Computer Skill:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Excel (highly advanced proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.), Power point and Dynamics D365

• PowerBI knowledge

 

Other Skills:

• Fluent in English

• Proficiency developing the analysis of expenses and revenue

• Must have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles in accordance with IFRS and GAAP

• Must have working knowledge of short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting and rolling budgets.

• Must have knowledge of manufacturing general and cost accounting in a standard cost environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivator who can carry out tasks with minimal supervision and can maintain professionalism while working under pressure and deadlines.

• A high degree of creativity and latitude is required
