What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at symplr?
The Business Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment to identify and document customer business requirements and deliver solutions to solve complex business challenges, in collaboration with customers and the symplr implementation team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients to identify and translate current-state business and system requirements to future-state needs
- Understand requirements of various stakeholders and facilitate the stakeholder decision making process
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to work on complex issues
- Document requirements and create project specifications
- Perform high-level requirements gathering to elicit scope for project estimates
- Perform data analysis and mapping activities for data migration projects
- Work with customers to manipulate data and/or programmatically update data
- Identify solutions to accommodate clients' evolving business needs (e.g. manipulation of existing data, implementation of automation rules)
- Design and implement online provider applications and supplemental documents using in-house Form Designer tool
- Assist Services Quality Engineers in performing quality assurance on assigned projects
- Assist Customer Support/IT/DevOps teams in trouble shooting application issues
- Provide timely scheduled time management reporting
- Must be a self-starter always looking for opportunities to assist or improve
- Deploy programs to customer servers and troubleshoot issues
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Skills Required:
- Experience working with provider credentialing systems, preferably Cactus/Provider or eVIPS/Payer
- Excellent time management, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and translate data sets with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel and workflow software such as Microsoft Visio, and demonstrated ability to learn applications and programs as needed
- Knowledgeable in writing basic SQL queries

- Bachelor's degree or Relevant experience
- Minimum of 1 year of business analysis experience, preferably in the Healthcare industry
- Healthcare credentialing domain knowledge
- Experience in gathering requirements and creating specifications
Pay: $65,000 - 80,000
