Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Accelerator Tool Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Memory Accelerator Module (MAM)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized Business Master File (BMF) platform.
  • Support day-to-day Operations and Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities.
  • Provide project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.
  • Translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns.
  • Use Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) insights to help team members pinpoint potential issues during modernization.
  • Develop solutions and mitigate identified risks.
 
Required Skills and Experience
  • Past development/architecting experience.
  • Experience refactoring code.
  • A broad range of programming experience with an understanding of object-oriented programming principles, Java Syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience with full-stack development.
  • An ability to learn ADDI and Advanced Resource Connector (ARC) accelerator toolsets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a familiarity with other z/OS analysis or development tools.
