Warehouse Associate

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all activities in the warehouse related to the receiving, stocking, and delivery of materials to the local installation crews. Responsible for maintaining organization and inventory accuracy, the Warehouse Representative works with little to no supervision while managing all warehouse operations according to standards and best practices.

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain an organized and standard setup of all warehouse inventory and equipment according to Warehouse Operations standards and best practices.
• Responsible for the safety and security of warehouse inventory and equipment.
• Maintain auditable records and operate based on defined standards in the shipping and receiving of all warehouse materials.
• Responsible for managing all material movement through the warehouse.
• Operates the forklift to unload shipments, process receipts, and stock the shelves.
• Pick and package all materials for the Installation Team daily.
• Work closely with the Service and Installation Teams to manage all materials, documentation, and RMA processing for service and warranty projects.
• All orders are to be kept ready in the “Staging Zone” for the following day before or by the end of the current day.
• The warehouse is to be kept clean and in order at all times.
• All items must be returned from the “Receiving zone” and immediately entered into the system.
• Any material taken from the warehouse must be recorded by the Warehouse Associate.
• Any additional task(s) assigned by the warehouse manager must be completed promptly.
• Warehouse Manager to be informed when a delivery is arriving to or departing from the warehouse.
• May be required to deliver material to the project site.
• Work closely with the post-installation project manager to ensure all the material is ordered for upcoming jobs.
• Work closely with the field manager to make sure there are no issues with the material during installation.
• Work closely with the designer to make sure BOM and design are correct.

COMPENSATION:

$16 - $20 per hour

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong fundamental knowledge of warehouse operations
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety and procedure

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• 1 years of Warehouse experience
• Previous experience operating a forklift preferred
• Valid state driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces, which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to transport materials and equipment to the rooftop to complete installations.
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
• Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses, and other PPE.
• Ability to work while wearing heavy protective equipment such as arc flash suits, gloves, and face shields
• Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
• Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
• Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
