Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

Exciting opportunity in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). This position will report to the head of HRIS within the Total Rewards organization and will play a key role in driving global HR system and process improvements for Synchrony.

As an HRIS Analyst, you will support the ongoing development and administration of Workday, our global HR system. In addition, you will provide analytic support on compensation and benefit processes as part of the broader Total Rewards team. A successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver who is detail oriented and eager to learn more about HR processes and systems.

This opportunity is remote - ability to work from any SYF site or from remote/home office.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with process owners and stakeholders to identify and prioritize new functionality, enhancements, and reporting needs for key HR processes
  • Manage identified projects from requirements through deployment, including oversight of outsourced configuration efforts
  • Analyze business process performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Execute configuration changes as part of the internal change request process
  • Research new and existing Workday functionality within your domain expertise
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and work with technical teams to resolve
  • Support other HRIS, compensation, and benefit initiatives
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, HR, business, or informatics preferred
  • 2+ years experience IT project management, or HR systems
  • 2+ years HR or consulting experience
  • 1+ years Workday experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Superior research skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 52,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
