Role Summary/Purpose:

By using cutting edge tools and technology, The Cyber Fraud Detection Analyst will research and help develop innovative fraud detection capabilities to protect our customers, clients, and brand. This role will work closely with our cross-functional peers in cyber intelligence, credit management, operations, and training to develop effective fraud mitigation strategies. Using world class tooling and data science this team impacts day to day operations by leaning forward into the fraud ecosystem.
This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
Work in coordination with Cyber Fraud Team, Cyber Threat intelligence Team, Fraud Tactical Operations Team, and Credit Management Teams to identify opportunities and develop requirements to detect fraudulent credit card applications.
Querying large data sets and then performing analysis on those data sets in order to find the root cause or pattern of fraudulent activity.
Maintain and tweak code library to ensure continued performance and effectiveness of Fraud queries and tools. Knowledge of SIEM logging platforms and technical expertise to perform queries and generate reports about fraud trends.
Create, track, and analyze data and develop detailed analytic metrics packages in excel and PowerPoint for senior level management consumption.
Research, maintain, and document adversary techniques by leveraging our cyber intelligence and industry consortiums.
Assist with the planning, development, and delivery of reports and presentations to senior level management.
Utilize Jira/Confluence from Atlassian Suite to drive Agile work planning through delivery.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in technology related discipline
Minimum 2 years cyber security, data analysis and/or fraud experience.
Excellent verbal skills to present data, metrics, ideas to various audiences
Fluent in MSOffice, SAS, python
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with SIEM logging platform tools, SAS, python, R, other programming languages
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and related disciplines beyond a basic level understanding is a plus
Knowledge of fraud technology, terminology, operations is a plus
Should be a self-starter who demonstrates ownership over assigned objectives and is able to work independently and with a team
Leadership and passion about continuous improvement
Ability to suggest creative solutions
Excellent interpersonal skills
Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 52,000.00 - 104,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
