Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

Our Digital Servicing products are visited by 1B visitors annually and are the virtual face of the brands we support. We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the identification, development and launch of various Consumer Servicing enhancements and releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management skills with a focus on Digital products and proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and exceeding adoption targets. This position will report to the VP, Web Consumer Leader.

This position is currently remote, where you’ll be work from home, but may be required to work in one of our offices in the future or occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with multiple internal and external sources to gather market intelligence and user VOC, and translate the results into detailed product requirements.

  • Oversight and leadership of the wing-to-wing product development cycle including build, test, launch and adoption.

  • Partner with the other Digital Service platforms leaders to drive a consistent omni-channel user experience.

  • Partner with key stakeholders such as IT, Operations, Client Teams and Compliance to identify and prioritize future features to deliver to market.

  • Work with internal and external partners to create screen prototypes / wireframes, gather feedback and adjust to optimize performance.

  • Partner with Digital Analytics team to closely monitor, analyze and optimize usage patterns.

  • Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for various Digital service releases.

  • Support and aid in any Legal/Compliance items related to the digital platforms.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 7+ years of Project Management experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably IT Project Management

  • 2+ years of experience leading software development projects

Desired Characteristics:

  • Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment

  • High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Experience with Agile software development framework, acting in the Product Owner role

  • Experience in the banking / credit card industry

  • Product Management and / or Business Analyst experience

  • Passion for learning about new technologies and identifying ways to drive innovation

  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills within all levels of the organization. Effectively communicate and influence all leadership levels of Synchrony and its partners

  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results

  • Strong project management experience with a record of delivering on time and across functions

  • Strong digital proficiency, including launching new products and capabilities and understanding of mobile devices and applications

  • Consumer finance and/or retail marketing experience with an understanding of core financial drivers

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 70,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
