Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Manager/AD, Program Management

The Role:

The Senior Manager, Program Management will provide critical support for a key program in late-stage clinical development, working closely with the Program Team Lead and other Program Managers. He/She will operationally drive the cross-functional Program Team, ensuring efficient and effective Program Team meetings. The preferred candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of the drug development process and a solid technical Project Management skillset with experience managing late-stage and/or launch projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Program Team and/or sub-team meetings, enable discussions to drive decision making, and provide logistical support (agendas, minutes, actions items, decisions)
• Maintain integrated program timelines, program plans and ensuring progress vs. plan.
• Track progress toward annual program goals, ensure off-track issues are discussed/escalated.
• Maintain and drive evolution of Program Dashboard and other regular reporting and communication tools.
• Ensure consistent and clear communication around Program status, progress, and priorities with the entire Syndax team.
• Partner with Finance to plan and manage the Program budget.
• As needed, lead working groups on special topics that require focus from a cross-functional group.
• Develop scenarios as needed, highlighting interdependencies and downstream impacts, and define milestones and decision points.
• Maintain a program team shared site for communication purposes and archiving of project management documents.
• Ensure successful integration of launch planning and commercialization readiness activities with clinical development and filing activities.
• Monitor and care for team health.
• Work with subject matter experts to prepare strategic topics for PT discussion, map out decision pathways, document key discussions and decisions.

Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree with knowledge of overall clinical/drug development processes
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology industries
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in drug development or early commercialization with solid understanding of drug development pathway
• Strong communicator able to integrate and succinctly summarize the various parts of a project and effectively tailor messages to audience incl. senior leaders
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks with frequently changing priorities in a busy environment
• Experience with commonly used project management tools including Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Excel
• Fluency in written and oral English
